FOCUS AREA #4 – DO I HAVE THE RESOURCES?
God doesn’t call us to be or do something without equipping us with the proper resources but it is up to us to do the work. Once your purpose and passion align with your strengths, values and action steps – doors begin to open.
Have you ever had something not work out and when you looked back, you were glad it didn’t? Me too.
List the people who make up your “inner circle” – These could be family members, close friends, and mentors — anyone of positive influence who has NO personal agenda regarding your decision-making but offer unconditional love and advice should you ask. Our journey is aided when we surround ourselves with others who have the same beliefs, but think differently.
Similar to getting help from Apple Care or Geek Squad with our electronics, a business coach can add valuable insight to your professional endeavors. A personal coach may be able to walk along side you drawing out your very best and increasing awareness. Personal trainers can help get us “un-stuck” with our fitness goals. A pastor or spiritual advisor may be able to answer questions regarding our faith walk. I’ve found them all to be both needed and necessary depending on the seasons of our lives.
We are not alone. We trust our APP store when it’s time to upgrade so we just hit “update” on our phone without thought. We have resources to help guide us through technology updates and upgrades. Christians rely on God, the author of their faith and the process of growth. Regardless of our background or beliefs, improvement starts with us – but we need each other to be our best.
“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.” – Mother Teresa.
