HIP HOP, FAITH, FAMILY HELP SAVE FORMER HEROIN ADDICT’S LIFE

According to a 2018 Washington Examiner report, “The opioid and heroin epidemic has taken center stage in the collective minds of policymakers across the nation over the past few years. According to the most recent statistics available, Ohio is ranked second in the nation in overdose deaths related to opioids.”
Story after story laments this crisis and leaves us feeling frustrated and seeking solutions. That is why the story of Kristin Minthorn from Hilliard, Ohio is so encouraging and promising. Kristin overcame her addiction and identifies some key assets that are readily available in all of our communities if we’ll only leverage them: fitness, faith and family.
