Faith & Fitness Magazine is pleased to recognize Body Is THE TEMPLE and owners Anthony Dispensa Jr. and his wife Mikki as a 2018 Fitness Ministry Entrepreneur Of The Year

This distinction is awarded to businesses that deliver unique faith-centered fitness environment and provide a quality customer experience that meets both the physical and spiritual needs of members/clients.

If there’s one thing in life that I’m absolutely certain about, it is the fact that God has positioned me right where He wants me. I knew early on that fitness was a part of me from which Satan always tried to deter me. Every night that I partied and defiled my body I was plagued in the back of my mind. It would haunt me.

Hindsight is 20/20. Now, knowing what I know, I can say it was always what God wanted for me. He showed me early on that disciplining my body was important. However, the true message he had for me was that ultimately I would have to be spiritually disciplined. When the two finally met I understood everything that God wanted for me.

If the writing on the wall isn’t definitive enough, I sure don’t mind breaking it down and explaining the hope that is in me.

Today I stand grateful to know that I’m walking in His will exactly where He wants me. My wife and I are now proud owners of Body Is THE TEMPLE Gym in South Philadelphia. I understand that most people will never set foot in a church. So, I’m thankful when they come to our gym. We are the body.

Though I never push my faith on people I also never turn down the opportunity to explain how the Lord made it possible when they ask.

If the writing on the wall isn’t definitive enough (Philippians 4:13) or the gyms name itself 1 Corinthians 6:19, or even the big mural of Samson that spans 27 ft on the gym’s wall I sure don’t mind breaking it down and explaining the hope that is in me.

We have this place equipped to do it right.
