Recreational Summer Fitness

Hello Fellow Christian Fitness Enthusiasts,

With spring and summer now upon us we tend to begin abandoning our daily/weekly exercise protocols to get outside and participate in warm weather activities. Of course, getting outside and enjoying more holistic and natural life activities is a welcome change to our shut-in training and exercise. However, remember that your only as fit as what you’re currently doing – so the moment you stop doing one adaptive activity, your body begins to decondition from that activity. So, yes, get outside and go biking, hiking, swimming, kayaking and involved in adventure fitness, but make sure to be diligent in maintaining the minimums in your aerobic, strength, flexibility and body elasticity workout protocols. No question though, that the extra summer activities will help you increase your lean body mass while decreasing your overall body fat percentage. Consistency and faithfulness are the keys to success in your biblical physical fitness.

Staying Strong For Him,

Coach Powers
