YOUR MOTIVATIONAL COOL DOWN FROM OUR INSTRUCTORS
When you find a group fitness class that works for you, it becomes a small community and whether you go to the class with a specific friend or make friends there, those people count on you to be there. You have “your spot” in the workout room, your spot along the wall where you always put your water, you have certain people you always stand beside, the instructor knows your name or even just your face and will notice when you aren’t there. You become a regular on the sign up sheet and in a fitness class of 30, you are one of the 30 reasons that class keeps going week after week. -Amanda Kennedy
Try several classes out to see which one suits your personality. If you don’t like the feel of one place/class, try another. You will eventually find something you like to do. Exercise is for everybody but not EVERY exercise is for every body. Find what you like and start there. God has used it to transform my life. It makes me a happier person and in turn, when asked why I am always smiling gives me an outlet to say exactly what “who” I have to smile about. -Carol Johnson
As women, we often tend to care for others before caring for ourselves, and the need for fitness is important, to be able to do things we need to do, as well as just generally staying healthy.
The need for healthy social interaction is also important. As a single woman, it’s sometimes hard to meet with others who don’t have the same schedule as me, which can be lonely at times. As married women, they may be caught up in the responsibilities of wife and/or mother that they are also unable to have healthy socialization, causing them to also be lonely. -Jennifer Gillespie
The Bible says “do not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing; but encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” One womans invitation to a group fitness class became the spark that ignited a passion for life, friendships and fitness. Consider this your invite.
