Honey Tea Cooler: Detox Recipe

Honey Tea Cooler - Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 2 cups brewed green tea, cooled

Directions:

  1. In blender combine strawberries and honey, blend.
  2. Add orange juice, blend. Stir in cooled tea.
  3. Serve over ice. 

The Detox Proprieties: Strawberries help fight carcinogens and contains anti-aging properties such as biotin and the antioxidants which helps prevent sagging skin.Green tea also has many preventative benefits against toxic compounds that promote aging. Green tea helps to regulate glucose in the body, which makes it useful in diabetes prevention. Studies have revealed that for those who drink three cups per day, green tea helps reduce risk of heart disease and lowers cholesterol levels by blocking absorption into the bloodstream. Also, green tea could promote fat-burning activity which is still in research that it may help to promote weight loss.
