I want …
SUMMER 2026
We say it when we pull up to the drive through menu board, when we discipline children, and when we think about that thing that we really want and need: a vacation, a pay raise … a better life. Maybe you remember when you said, “I want…” as a child and that bully interrupted, “Who cares what you want!”
Well guess what? God does, big time! In fact God put the I want… in each of us. Why do you want to do fitness? – Because He put that in you too! Unfortunately, more times than we’d like to admit, the I want… gets corrupted by frustration, anger, vanity, stubbornness, lack of wisdom and perhaps most often by selfishness.
The good news is that when that happens God is right there ready to help you update to the latest version of you.
Let Summer 2026 be the season you discover a new depth and greater potential in the example Jesus Christ gave us, “Not what I want Father, but what you want.” How you move, where you go, the life you grow, the adventures, challenges and experiences, all of it – what God wants is for you to discover how more robust life can be when you follow him and want Him more fully every day.
Does that require surrender? Yes! Will it be painful? Probably. Why do it? Because it’s what you want.
