Bio:

Kevin has worked for ABB as an Electrical Engineer for nearly 40 years. He graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University and received his Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University in 2000. Kevin works in the service industry developing tools, processes, books, patents, publications, business strategies, optimization tools, and service delivery methods.

The international nature of Kevin’s job took a toll on his health. At the age of 48 he set out to resolve his weight and high blood pressure issues. His quest enabled him to lose over 50 pounds and reach master’s athlete status in men’s physique, power lifting, track and field, triathlons, and several 5Ks. He also did a marathon in his 50’s. He had limited knowledge of nutrition and fitness when he started his quest, but felt that if he could troubleshoot industrial processes, he should be able to apply that knowledge to himself. He did just that and with the help of several trainers he learned. As he learned, he recorded his findings. Those findings have been compiled into the book, “Tuned Fit – An Engineer’s Guide to Health and Fitness”.

In addition to his professional and athletic careers, Kevin has been active in helping preach and teach the gospel his entire life. His travels with ABB enabled him to not only help local service teams, but also to visit Christians all over the world. Recently while exercising with a friend, he was asked to explain how the Bible fits together. Kevin says that question coupled with his engineering training, his fitness journey, and a life time of Bible study is what lead to the answer, his latest book, “Skipping Across the Mountain Tops – Led by the Promise”.

At the age of 59, Kevin was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Kevin’s engineering, faith, fitness, and family have enabled him to tackle this issue head on. He currently has no detectable cancer and is actively applying the principles of faith, fitness, and function to his recovery.

Kevin has been married to his college sweetheart, Kim since 1987. They have three children, Kayla, Kameron, and Colten, and six grandchildren, Brady, Annabelle, Baker, Van, Dean, and Ellie (and another on the way). Kevin enjoys sharing the gospel, teaching Bible classes, spending time with his family, wood working, weight lifting, strongman exercises, welding, hot rodding, home renovation, and all forms of fitness.

Kevin’s books are available on Amazon.
